A Bit About Me

Dr. Whitney Brown knew she wanted to be a veterinarian when, at 14 years old, while working at a riding stable, she saw the local vet come to drain an abscess on a pony's shoulder and she thought it was "cool" instead of "disgusting."  Her passions lie in animal reproduction, preventative medicine and animal behavior.

Dr. Whitney decided to start Full Circle Veterinary Services to fulfill her passion of helping animals while also having time for her family. She has worked previously in both small animal and equine practices, but for the past several years has been at a mixed animal practice. She is excited to be able to spread her wings as an owner and be able to connect with her clients more while helping their pets

She grew up on the east coast, attending Kenyon College in Ohio, where she majored in Neuroscience and was on their Intercollegiate Equestrian Team. She went on to do research on cribbing behavior in horses at Auburn University in Alabama, where she ultimately attended veterinary school.  After graduation, she did an internship in Theriogenology, or animal reproduction, at North Carolina State University School of Veterinary Medicine.  She went on to do another year of advanced training in reproduction at Cornell University before accepting a job in equine practice and moving to Washington state.

Dr. Whitney lives in Port Orchard with her husband, Jeff, and their two children as well as their four-legged family: a cat, Magellan Mae, and a Dutch Warmblood broodmare, Winona.  In her free time, Dr. Whitney enjoys hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, kayaking, crafting, and baking.
